Miniature Rivet Nut
Kalyani Sales Corporation offers a wide range of Rivet nuts / Hang Nuts for sheet metal applications. Rivet Nut is a threaded insert with a counterbored and serrated shank. Rivet Nut is riveted into thin walled components made up of steel, NF metals and plastic with pre-punched receiving holes. During this process, the riveted serrations of the shank cut into the side wall, creating absolutely secure fastening. They have distinct advantages like: easy & quick installation; high torque & pull out strength; can be used in surface treated, ready plated parts, so eliminating the need for time consuming cleaning of internal threads and reworking damage at the surface; eliminates expensive welding equipments & consumables; several varieties to suit particular application. Rivet Nuts with smaller outer dimensions are used for low torque, space & weight saving applications. Blind type rivet nuts with blind threads are used for applications where sealed fastening is required to avoid water contamination of threads. Miniature Stand off type rivet nuts with special lengths are used as a spacer or stand off. These entire rivet nuts are available in steel (blue/yellow chromated), Stainless Steel or brass material and in various thread sizes from M2 to M10 for sheet thicknesses 0.5 to 5.0 mm. Areas of applications include: Control panels, Sheet metal cabinets, Switchgears, PCB,UPS, Invertors, Household appliances, Electronic weighing machines etc.
Miniature Nuts are used to provide space and weight saving torque proof screw fastening with loads from both sides of thin sheet metals. (thickness from 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm) Suitable for thin walled moulded parts made of steel, light metals, non ferrous metals and plastics.
